Customer experience: Peninuki Distillery example

Peninuki Distillery is Estonia’s most award-winning beverage producer, focusing on spirits: gin, vodka, rum, barrel cocktails. Production is compact, automated where possible – but corresponds more to small-scale production capabilities rather than a typical fully automated production line. As a result, Peninuki’s needs are not so much tied to production line automation but rather to the “produce on demand” principle. Peninuki uses ERPLY Books as follows:

  • finished products are made from intermediate products (distillates): both the finished product and the intermediate product are described with recipes
  • planned production has been entered into production planning on a batch basis (e.g. the November goal is to produce three batches of Forest Gin)
  • raw material shortages emerge from production planning, from which the corresponding purchase orders can also be automatically generated
  • production is batch-based – when recording finished products into stock, assigning a batch number is mandatory
  • when producing non-alcoholic gin, the corresponding best-before date is also assigned
  • the shop and outdoor events are supported by the ERPLY point-of-sale solution
  • receipts and payments come from the bank automatically thanks to ERPLY Books bank connections
  • reporting is automated: the income statement can be viewed both by product and by product group. Meaning that automatically distributed, it is visible how much of the revenues, costs, and profit come from gin, rum, and at the same time also from an individual product such as Seaside Gin
